Operators in the nuclear plant in the eastern Slovenian town of Krsko stopped the work of the plant for precautionary reasons on Sunday morning due to the swollen River Sava which was full of leaves and garbage which could reduce the efficiency of the nuclear plant's cooling system.
Before it was shut down, the plant operated in an orderly manner with no negative impact on the environment or human beings.
According to the latest reports from Slovenia, the Krsko nuclear plant will be reconnected to the electricity grind on Wednesday, the Slovenian news agency STA said.
Seven years ago, the Krsko plan was also shut down for the first time in the autumn due to increasing levels of the water in the Sava due to the heavy rain.
