The first commander of the Croatian Air Force, Major General Imra Agotic, died in Zagreb on Sunday morning at the age of 69.
Agotic was also known as the chief negotiator with the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) in 1991, for which he also testified at the trial of Slobodan Milosevic before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
Agotic was born in Gorjani on 12 January 1943. He took part in the negotiations on Croatia's leaving the JNA and was a member of the state commission for relations with UNPROFOR.
