We can be satisfied with the way the tourist season is going so far and can be more than satisfied as indicators of tourist arrivals and bed nights are positive for July and for the first seven months of this year and the growth of 6.6% in total revenue from the tourism sector for H1 is even better, Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin said in Zadar after presenting this data at a press conference.
Judging that financial results and their increase this year are in fact the key indicators for the season, Minister Lorencin told the press that more attention would be given to these factors in future.
Lorencin expects that the good results in July will be achieved in August too, saying this is obvious in the field and according to what the private sector is saying. Bookings for August are heading in the desired direction and there is an even better outlook for September and if this proves to be so, this could be a good tourism year.
He added that he believes that the growth in revenue has resulted due to investments and good preparations for the season with the introduction of new quality content.
Lorencin believes that this is a good message to all investors in Croatia's tourism that such investments pay off.
