The opposition in the Croatian parliament on Friday morning again requested that Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor come to parliament and address MPs concerning protest rallies throughout the country, after which a ten minute recess was set.
Nenad Stazic of the SDP was the first to request a recess because, as he said, the prime minister has not yet come to parliament and address MPs as requested by the parliamentary minority.
A recess was also requested by Dinko Buric of the regional HDSSB party, Goran Beus Richembergh of the HNS/HSU group and Damir Kajin of the Istrian Democratic Party (IDS) who expressed his dissatisfaction with the statement Kosor made on Thursday that elections could be held next year and the fact that the PM declined to come to parliament, despite the growing disgruntlement of citizens.
"Let her return from Bratislava," Kajin said.
Andrija Hebrang of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) also requested a recess to, as he said, be able to explain, why the prime minister is not in Croatia.
Kosor is on an official visit to Slovakia where she is scheduled to meet top Slovakian officials.
