Slovenian Prime Minister Borut Pahor said on Wednesday that one of his wishes for 2010 was to settle the border dispute with Croatia.
"I would like to see the border problem solved in 2010, so that we canshow that the increased prestige and image of Slovenia, which we have achievedinternationally in recent times, is justified," Pahor told a pressconference after this year's last government session.
Pahor said that dealing with the border issue with Croatia was difficult andthat the international community had recognised Slovenia's reputation andinfluence in Southeast Europe after he had signed an arbitration agreement withCroatia.
"The international community knows that these are difficult matters, which is also evident from problems that have been piling up in Bosnia andHerzegovina and other Western Balkan countries," Pahor said, noting thathis government was ready to cooperate in stabilising the region.
