The Slovenian company Petrol has signed a contract to buy the remaining 49-percent stake in the Croatian company Euro-Petrol, and after agreed deferment conditions are met, it will become a 100-percent owner of Euro-Petrol d.o.o.
The transaction is expected to be completed in the spring of 2012, Petrol said in a statement on Monday.
Petrol said it signed the contract on the purchase of the 49-percent stake in Euro-Petrol d.o.o. with its business partner Jozo Kalem on September 16.
In 2008, Petrol bought from Kalem a 51-percent interest in Euro-Petrol.
Euro-Petrol specialises in the sale of oil derivatives and products and other merchandise on Croatia's territory, and it operates 50 petrol stations.
Petrol is the leading Slovenian energy company and the principal strategic supplier of oil and other energy products to the Slovenian market. The Petrol Group in late June this year had 444 petrol services, including 313 in Slovenia, 81 in Croatia, 38 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, six in Serbia, three in Kosovo and three in Montenegro.
