Croatia's small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have until February 20 to submit projects for co-funding from the European Union's IPA pre-accession programme intended for raising regional competitiveness, an information workshop on a tender for IPA grants heard in Zagreb on Tuesday.
A total of three million euros is available for SMEs and each grant will range from EUR 50,000 to 200,000, it was said at the workshop organised by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK).
IPA's IIIC programme encourages the equal development of regions in member countries.
The tender was launched on December 19 and its results are expected by year's end.
Eighty-five per cent of each project will be financed by the EU, while SMEs will finance the rest.
The funds are intended for investing in technology, new production models, the green economy, environmental protection, energy efficiency, product certification, alignment with ecological standards, and the raising of competitiveness.
The sectors to be co-financed are the manufacturing industry, water supply, information and communications.
More information can be obtained at the Economy Ministry, the HGK, and the Central Finance and Contracting Agency.
