Over 160 exhibitors from Croatia, Italy, Serbia, and Slovenia gathered in the northern Croatian Adriatic town of Rovinj on Wednesday for the 27th international food, drinks and tourism equipment fair Promohotel.
The fair was formally opened by the head of Istria County, Ivan Jakovcic, who said that Croatia should do all it can to make tourism the engine of the country's development.
Several events will be held as part of the fair, which closes on Saturday, including seminars on how to do business with the Netherlands and Croatian indigenous products and a round-table discussion on the interior design of hotels.
