The three-member presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the visiting Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic on Monday reaffirmed the readiness to reinforce the bilateral cooperation between their countries and to resolve outstanding issues.

After the talks between the Bosnian presidency and Milanovic, who arrived in Sarajevo on Monday for a two-day official visit, a press release was issued in Sarajevo reading that the Croatian premier said the purpose of his visit was "to upgrade the bilateral relations and not to give a lesson on political matters".

The Bosnian presidency chairman, Zeljko Komsic, was quoted as saying that he was confident that both the Croatian government and the Bosnian Council of Ministers would demonstrate the wish, the know-how and the political willingness to accelerate the resolution of the outstanding bilateral issues.

Voicing his respect to Croatia's assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Zagreb's constitutional obligation to care for the Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Komsic expressed his wish that the Croatian premier may soon pay a working visit to the relevant ministries, so as to further develop political, economic and cultural connections between the two countries.

The press release describes the Bosnian-Croatian relations as very good and friendly, underlining their readiness to solve all outstanding issues through institutions and the cooperation between the two governments.

Milanovic thanked the Bosnian presidency members for the reception and vowed Croatia would assist Bosnia in its efforts to develop itself into a functioning European country and draw closer to the European Union.
