The management of the Brodosplit shipyard will meet with Economy Minister Ivan Vrdoljak and its unions on Tuesday to discuss how to provide for workers as part of the restructuring process, the Split-based dock announced on Sunday.
Brodosplit's new owner DIV has launched new negotiations with the Economy Ministry and the union leaders on new severance packages which will protect all employees, the management said in a statement.
In the restructuring programme, the Samobor-based DIV company undertook the obligation to provide for the surplus labour to the satisfaction of the workers, the unions, the state and the new management, so a poll was conducted to see what the workers think of the severance packages, the statement said.
