The Dutch Parliament's lower house on Tuesday ratified with a majority vote (118 of the 150) Croatia's Treaty of Accession with the European Union, the Croatian Foreign and European Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
During a plenary debate held last Tuesday, Dutch Foreign Minister Frans Timmermans praised Croatia's efforts in meeting very demanding conditions for EU membership.
Croatia's EU accession treaty is yet to be ratified in the Senate and signed by the Queen.
Apart from the Netherlands, the ratification of Croatia's EU accession treaty is yet to be completed in Germany, Belgium, Denmark and Slovenia which is the only country that has not yet launched the ratification process,
Croatian and Slovenian foreign ministers Vesna Pusic and Karl Erjavec are scheduled to meet in Slovenia on Wednesday to discuss the Ljubljanska Banka dispute which holds back the ratification in Slovenia.
