Fantastic Zagreb Film Festival, the first festival of science fiction, horror and thriller films in Croatia and the region, will take place in Zagreb on July 2-9.
The festival will feature films from around the world, from Japan and Korea to France, Great Britain, Spain and the former Yugoslavia.
The films will be screened as part of five programmes: Panorama - featuring five current films from around the world; Orient Express - featuring Japanese and Korean productions: Midnight Madness - featuring horrors; YU Fantastika - featuring six films made between the 1950s and the 1990s in former Yugoslav republics; and Japanese Exploitation Film - featuring five films under the motto "Good movies, bad taste."
The films will be screened at two open air locations downtown and at the Europa cinema.
