The largest amount of private donations, mostly by privately owned companies, in the first half of the year was paid into the account of the opposition Croatian People's Party (HNS) -- HRK 461,950.
The ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) received HRK 188,000, the strongest opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP) HRK 167,056 and the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS), a junior partner in the ruling coalition, HRK 31,723.
The parties posted reports on the donations received in the first half of 2011 on their websites as required by the Political Activity and Electoral Campaign Financing Act.
