Josipovic to visit Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo this week

Croatian President Ivo Josipovic is to visit Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo on September 3-7 when he will meet for talks with senior officials of the three countries and express Croatia's support for the integration of the entire region of Southeast Europe into the European Union, the President's Office said on Monday.

Among the topics discussed will be further economic cooperation.

Josipovic will begin the five-day tour on Tuesday by visiting Montenegro. He is scheduled to meet Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic in Cetinje and then travel to Podgorica for talks with Parliament Speaker Ranko Krivokapic and Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic. On Wednesday, he will visit the Croatian community in Donja Lastva.

Josipovic is due in Macedonia on Wednesday afternoon when he will meet with his host, President Gjorge Ivanov. Talks with Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanoski and Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski are scheduled for Thursday, as is a meeting with representatives of the Croatian community in that country.

During his first official visit to Kosovo, Josipovic is due to meet on Friday with President Atifete Jahjaga, as well as with Prime Minister Hashim Thaci and Parliament Speaker Jakup Krasniqi. Talks with representatives of the Croatian community in Janjevo are also scheduled.

On Saturday, the last day of his visit, Josipovic will meet with Croatian troops serving with the NATO-led Kosovo Force and will visit Decani.
