The defence of Croatian army general Mladen Markac, who has been sentenced by the Hague war crimes tribunal, will file a reply to the prosecution's brief as part of the appeals proceedings on Monday, counsel Goran Mikulicic told press.
"We will file it today because there is some misunderstanding as to whether the deadline is today or tomorrow," he said.
The prosecution replied to appeals filed by Markac and another Croatian general, Ante Gotovina, on September 12.
The two generals' attorneys appealed on August 1 the trial chamber ruling sentencing Gotovina to 24 and Markac to 18 years' imprisonment for war crimes committed in 1995.
The UN court convened a status conference in the Gotovina-Markac case for September 29.
