None of the Croatian soldiers was hurt in the explosion of a roadside bomb in northern Afghanistan on Saturday, the Defence Ministry said on Sunday.
The incident occurred near the northern town of Mazar-e Sharif when a makeshift explosive device planted alongside the road exploded after the passage of two vehicles with nine members of the mentoring team of the 16th Croatian Contingent who were en route between two camps.
"None of the members of the Croatian armed forces who were aboard the vehicles was hurt and no damage was caused to their vehicles," the ministry said in a statement.
Croatia is involved in the NATO-led ISAF mission with 334 soldiers.
