There will be some changes in the government with a view to strengthening our economic team, the prime minister and president of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), Jadranka Kosor, said on Saturday welcoming the delegates of her coalition partner - the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) - at the HSS session at which the party is expected to define its programme for 2011.

"The election year is ahead of us, it is important to create a team which will enable the implementation of all three programme pillars of this government - the economic recovery, European Union admission and the fight against corruption," PM Kosor said at the session which brought together over 100 HSS delegates whom she thanked for the support, calling for cooperation in 2011.

HSS president Josip Friscic stressed his party would continue to support the government next year, adding that 2011 would be the year of investments.

"The government which had the strength to amend the Constitution and set up an efficient judicial system enjoys out full support," Friscic said.

Friscic underlined the basic guidelines of the party programme for 2011 - the preservation of family business, the decentralisation of local self-government units and equal rural regional development.
