Croatia's Sandra Perkovic won the gold medal in the women's discus throw at the European Athletic Championships in Helsinki on Sunday, defending the title she won two years ago at the championship in Barcelona.
Perkovic threw 67.62 metres.
Nadine Mueller of Germany came second with 65.41 m, while Natalya Semenova of Ukraine won the silver with a throw of 62.91 m.
