The Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor's Office will not comment on the case of Croatian war veteran Tihomir Purda until the two other suspects in the same case have been heard, Deputy Prosecutor Bruno Vekaric told reporters on Monday.

Vekaric said the two other suspects, Darko Maslov and Petar Janjic, would be heard in Croatia on Thursday and Friday, after which the Prosecutor's Office would make a decision.

Purda, who is in custody in Bosnia and Herzegovina awaiting extradition to Serbia, was heard by Bosnian state prosecutors at the request of the War Crimes Department of the Belgrade High Court.

Purda's lawyer Josip Muselimovic said that his client had managed to prove that he had not committed the crimes of which the Serbian authorities accused him. He said that the hearing focused on the circumstances surrounding the alleged killing of several members of the Yugoslav People's Army in the Vukovar area on November 5, 1991.
