The Council of the the Socialist International, a worldwide organisation of social democratic, socialist and labour parties, has decided to suspend the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) led by Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik, the Bosnian Social Democratic Party (SDP), another member of the Socialist International from Bosnia and Herzegovina, reported on Saturday.
The Council of the Socialist International (SI), which convened in Athens on 1-2 July, adopted recommendations of the SI Ethics Committee on the suspension of the SNSD, which is in power in the Bosnian Serb entity.
The SI Ethics Committee's chairman, Maurice Braud, explained this proposal with the findings of the supervision of the SNSD showing no progress in that party and warning that this party's official use unacceptable rhetorics.
