The world's two-time high jump champion Blanka Vlasic and the US sprinter Tyson Gay are the biggest stars of the athletics meeting IAAF World Challenge Zagreb 2010, to be held at the sports park Mladost in the Croatian capital on September 1.
The meeting will be attended by all of Croatia's leading athletes, headed by Vlasic and the national discus throw record holder Sandra Perkovic. Both Vlasic and Perkovic won gold medals at the recent European Athletics Championship in Barcelona.
At a recent Diamond League meet in Stockholm, Gay beat for the first time in two years the world's best sprinter Usain Bolt.
In Zagreb, Gay will compete in the event in which he excels - the 100 metres sprint.
A total of 7,000 tickets for the event have been released for sale at 20, 50 and 200 kuna.
