Police Director Oliver Grbic said in Gospic on Thursday the pressing of charges against four special police officers, suspected of a war crime committed in the Kuline military prison in the coastal city of Sibenik in 1992, was the result of cooperation between the Croatian and Serbian state prosecutor's offices.
"This is a criminal investigation that began years ago and has culminated in the arrest of four war crimes suspects. The police took an active part in it," Grbic said in response to questions from reporters, adding that charges were pressed as a result of cooperation between the Croatian and Serbian state prosecutor's offices.
