A team of students from the Zagreb University Faculty of Law won an international competition in the knowledge of European Union law held in Vilnius on Sunday.
It was the first time a Croatian team had won the competition, which involved law students from 16 universities from Central and Eastern Europe, according to a statement issued by the Zagreb Faculty of Law.
The Croatian team, consisting of Nika Bacic, Dora Horvat, Ana Lah, Kristina Mandic and their coach Filip Kuhta of the Department for European Public Law, won in the finals against students from the universities of Vilnius, Sofia and Warsaw.
In the individual competition, Dora Horvat and Kristina Mandic won best speaker awards.
The Central and East European Moot Court Competition 2011 was co-organised by the University of Cambridge and the European Court of Justice.
