The leader of the Croatian Labour Party, Dragutin Lesar, on Tuesday introduced to the public the party's club of deputies in the seventh parliament, saying that the six Labour Party MPs would immediately start drafting legislation relating to labour and protection of labour rights.
"Our priorities include collective agreements, increasing the nontaxable part of income, labour courts, reducing the number of signatures needed to call a referendum," Lesar told a news conference in the party's offices after the State Election Commission earlier in the day released complete election results showing that the Labour Party will have six seats in the new parliament.
Apart from Lesar, the news conference was also addressed by the party's future MPs - journalist Branko Vuksic, teacher Nikola Vuljanic, unionists Mladen Novak and Zlatko Tusak, and small business owner Nansi Tireli.
Answering a reporter's question, Lesar strongly dismissed speculations about his party siding with the election winner the Kukuriku coalition and possible ministerial posts for his party.
"We are not entering any coalitions, with six seats in the parliament we will accept all good and turn down all bad proposals, regardless of who makes them," Lesar said, expressing satisfaction that his party won 121,785 votes in Sunday's elections.
