Croatian President Ivo Josipovic met in Shanghai on Sunday with representatives of the Chinese telecommunications equipment manufacturing company Huawei.
Huawei has an office in Croatia and collaborates with leading Croatian telecommunications firms.
According to a press release from the President's Office, the Huawei managers presented to Josipovic their plans for expansion of business operations in Croatia.
Later on, Josipovic met with Liu Yun Gen, Chairman of the Shanghai Assembly, to mark the 30 years of friendship between Zagreb and Shanghai. During talks, Chinese business and financial leaders showed an interest in intensifying economic relations with companies in Zagreb and Croatia.
