Croatia Airlines management and CA pilots' union on Monday managed to come to an agreement which means that pilots will end their strike and continue negotiations with management concerning a new collective agreement however it seems planes will remain grounded as flight attendants continue to strike.
As soon as the pilots' union signs the agreement, the strike will end which could be at any time now, CA reported.
Stewards and stewardesses are continuing their industrial action because management rejected a proposal put forward by their union which consisted of savings of HRK 3.5 million, union rep Ivana Lojo said.
The situation will not change as planes can't fly without cabin staff, she said.
Pilots and flight attendants began their strike last Monday, causing a loss of HRK 6.5 million to the company which was forced to hire replacement planes to cater for passengers.
