The registered unemployment rate in Croatia in June was 18.6 per cent, one per cent down from May when it was 19.6 per cent, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Tuesday.

June was the fourth consecutive month to see a decrease of the registered unemployment rate, which is influenced by the seasonality of the Croatian labour market.

However, on the annual level, the registered unemployment rate was up 1.3 per cent in comparison to June 2012.

At the end of June, 318,110 job seekers were registered with the Croatian Employment Service, which was 15,139 persons or 4.5 per cent less than in May. In comparison to June last year, the number of unemployed people increased by 7.9 per cent or 23,233 persons.
